Unmanned Aerial Systems for Monitoring Soil, Vegetation, and Riverine Environments
From HARMONIOUS to a Comprehensive Reference
This book is the culmination of five years of collaborative work within the COST Action HARMONIOUS (CA16219). The Action brought together more than 200 researchers and technicians from 36 European and non-European countries to promote harmonised monitoring strategies and transfer recent advances in UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) methodologies to a global network of practitioners and scientists.
The aim is to share the experience gained within HARMONIOUS, providing clear guidelines, technical advice, and practical case studies for researchers, instructors, and practitioners who wish to harness UAS technology to improve the description of soil–water–plant processes across environmental monitoring applications.
